In 2009, our Primary worked really hard on Reverence Skills. I was amazed at how quickly the children responded. I've made a 2010 Primary Reverence Pail with some mini circle cards that Velcro on for each month. I'm going to attach the Reverence Skills to this post for all of you to enjoy!
Primary Reverence Pail Skills:
January - FOLLOW THE "SON" (meaning...sunflowers follow the sun and we should follow Jesus Christ)
February - SHOW KIND ACTS OF LOVE (work on performing service or being kind to others)
March - GATHER YOUR FINGERS AND FOLD THEM QUIETLY (work on folding arms and listening)
April - STAY GROUNDED IN YOUR GOSPEL STANDARDS (work on the Primary Standards)
May - LET YOUR TESTIMONY GROW (allow children to share their testimonies)
June - OPEN THE GATE AND FEEL THE SPIRIT (talk to the children about the Holy Ghost)
July - DIG INTO YOUR SCRIPTURES (encourage the children to pull out their scriptures at home and at church)
August - BE "TWEET" AND LEAVE YOUR WEEDS AT THE DOOR (be sure to be happy when entering the Primary Room...leave your negativity at the door)
September - DON'T LEAVE YOUR AREA DIRTY (make sure Primary Children clean around their seats after Sharing Time and in their classrooms)
October - PLANT YOUR FEET INTO THE GROUND (work on keeping your feet still...no kicking)
November - PLANT YOUR BODY BACK IN YOUR SEAT (learn to sit up tall in your chair)
December - SHOWER THE ROOM WITH BEAUTIFUL SINGING (sing like angels during music time)
