Primary Music Idea - Home
Fun idea for teaching the HOME song - page 192 Children's Songbook
I was so excited when I found this wooden house at Michael's craft store. I brought it home and painted it and decided it would be the perfect house for teaching the HOME song. I begin teaching this song by having an empty house. Then, as we sing the different verses we add the family members, Christ, and the fireplace. At the end of verse one it reads: Home is where warm, circling arms Go all the way around. When we get to those words I Velcro the fingers shut. The children picked up this song really well...I really think the props helped!
