Camp Value Nature Walk
Value Nature Walk
The Personal Progress program uses the eight Young Women values to help you understand more fully who you are, why you are here on earth, and what you should be doing as a daughter of God to prepare for the day you go to the temple to make sacred covenants. As we walk through each value songs will be shared, project ideas will come to life and messages based on each value will help us remember to live these standards throughout our lives.
This activity turned out to be a very spiritual one. Each ward made ornaments to decorate a tree along the path in their value color. We had them share the value scripture, prepare a song based on that value, a short message about the value, and we had a member of their ward share a value project idea. The trees were so fun to see. Each one unique just like each one of us. At the end of our Value Nature Walk we had a member of our Stake Young Women's Presidency share the message given by Sister Dalton about VIRTUE and presented each Young Woman with a GOLD bandanna that read "RETURN TO VIRTUE" to be tied at the end of their walking sticks. We asked each Young Woman if they would commit to completing their Personal Progress by the time they graduated out of the Young Women's Program. We then had each young lady raise their sticks up to the sky to show the pledge they were making. As leaders...we stood in ah watching.
