This past Wednesday, I had the opportunity to go to the Leesburg Ward's Camp Kick Off. I was so impressed with how the YCL's and Leaders prepared for their special night. They had placed a string of white lights on the stage with several sets of sneakers leading down the path to pictures of Christ. There was a tent and camp chair set up for decoration and a box that they made for the collection of shoes that they will be collecting prior to camp. The Young Women and Leaders shared the camp theme, camp theme song, spiritual messages, and much more! The Young Women's President in this Ward had prepared a sheet of paper with all of the pictures of the Apostles on it to see if the Young Women could name them all. Learning more about the Apostles is something we are focusing on this year at camp. Then, the Young Women worked on Camp Shoe Boxes and had a YUMMY dessert a CAMP KICK OFF COOKIE. This was darling...a little cookie shoe!
