Primary Music Idea - He Sent His Son

This is what I am going to be using in the month of February to teach the Primary children the song He Sent His Son - page 34 Children's Songbook. Because there are so many questions within the song...I thought it might be fun to post question marks around the room. I am also going to place a few under the children's chairs. Those children will be the ones that I will have come up front to help answer the questions in the song. With each question...I have created a QUESTION MARK CARD. For the answers...I have created an ANSWER CARD. I realize that the Primary children may have different answers, but this will be a fun way to teach them the words and answers within the music. I have some mini easels that I will be displaying the cards on once the conversation with the children has taken place. Then, we will sing!

I had way too much fun cutting question marks with my Cricut machine today. So...have created the cards and scanned them in for you since I made these from scratch and not entirely on the computer. If you would like blank question mark cards...please email or post me!

Jennifer,
I emailed you with the email you have posted here on your blog about the management of the singing club. I am wondering if you give the singing cards for children to take home or do you keep them at church. And how do you plan to keep up with their progress? Any rewards or just the buttons? I have 48 senior primary children. I am doing with just senior , but still that is quite alot.

Hi Sister Carter...

I was so excited to see your message. You are welcome to use this idea. I might even have to put together a little something special for your daughters. I can't wait to see you again. Say hi to your family!

Hugs,
Jennifer

Hi Sonya...

Welcome to PRIMARY!!! I can tell that you are going to do a fantastic job as your Ward Music Leader. Believe me...it's a wonderful calling!!! I love teaching the children about the Savior through music. There are just a few of my music ideas on the blog. I'll have to see what else I have and keep posting. Just remember to... SMILE!!! Something I've gotten into the habit of doing is bearing my testimony after music time to the children about what we are singing about. It helps to pull the spirit into the room and prepares them for Sharing Time. Take some time to read the scriptures that go along with the Children's Hymns...they are always inspirational!

All the best and keep in touch!

Jennifer, I did not receive a return email. Hmm~ maybe try again.
But, if you can respond here on the blog that is fine. Just wanted to know your management basics of the singing cards and how much time you have to spend keeping up with them in primary.

Jennifer,
Could I get a copy of the clipart used for buttons? Everything but the articles of faith numbers. I'm just going to give out one aof button for all 13 or something else. But I love all the clipart you used and I've been searching for them and can't find most.
You can email to matthewslocum@bellsouth.net

I'm planning on copying them and laminating them and cutting them out in circles. Then figuring out some way to adhere to lanyards. My mom suggests velcro circles. Still not sure, but the buttons would be quite expensive I have found. The button machine 29.95 and 500 buttons $40. 45 sr. primary.

Jennifer,

Jennifer - is there a way that you're teaching this in a different way to the Jr. Primary? My little ones are not getting it because they can't read like the older ones - any suggestions?
Thanks
