Primary Program Practice Box

This idea was shared by Sister Bradshaw...a sister in my ward. We were trying to come up with a way that we could get the kids excited about our upcoming Primary Program. In our ward the music plays a key role in the program. I decided to fill a shoe box up with Primary Lolli - POPS. I placed a star on each ribbon to represent one of the songs we would be singing. This was done for Nursery, Junior Primary, and Senior Primary. I knew that if I did just the name of the song they would be able to open the box much quicker and I wanted to challenge them. On Sunday, I showed the box to the children and as they sang the song, if they knew it really well, I cut off the ribbon from the box. They did a fantastic job! I can't wait to see how quickly they can cut them all off. Our Senior Primary managed to get all of them cut off on the first Sunday. We ran out of time for Junior Primary, but they were doing really well. I missed Nursery today due to being in charge of sharing time. We're weeks away and I know our kids will do a great job!!!
