Primary Sharing Time Idea - Introducing 2011 Primary Theme













The Scriptures Are the Word of God

This week there is a lot of excitement for those of us in Primary.  I know many of you are preparing for the BIG day...the first day of Primary this year!!!!!!!  My sister, Merrilee and I have been on the phone non-stop working on ideas to share with all of you.  This is a book that she has put together for tomorrow's Sharing Time that I just couldn't resist sharing with all of you.  She put hours into this and I'm excited because I plan on using it for Music Time in my ward.  This is her take of what the Primary Outline says to do for Week One in January.  As we were talking we decided that it would be fun to introduce the theme with a conversation about the Standard Works followed by songs that could be sung out of the Children's Songbook.  We hope you will all have a chance to use this too!

Here are the songs that I will be sharing after each section of the book is shared:

Old Testament - Follow the Prophet CS, 110
New Testament - Tell Me the Stories of Jesus CS, 57
Book of Mormon - Book of Mormon Stories CS, 118
Doctrine & Covenants - Seek the Lord Early CS, 108
Pearl of Great Price - When He Comes Again CS, 82
