Primary Music Idea - Come, Follow Me

Matthew 4:19
2 Nephi 31:10-21

"Come, Follow Me," the Savior said.  I love these simple words of our Savior.  I can't think of a better example.  He has always been there for me in my life and now as Primary Leaders we have the chance this month to bear our testimonies of the great example that He has been in our lives.  In the Primary 2010 Outline for Sharing Time it lists some helps for the Music Leaders for this month.  I decided that I really liked the footprint idea that they shared with us.  I've added a little twist with making some sandals to represent the kind of shoes that people would wear back in the day of our Savior walking here on earth.  They are not exactly like what He would wear, but they are the best I could create with paper.  I plan to have the children come up and help to place the sandals in order.  Since they have straps on the top I will have Primary Children hold them to show the bottom portion of the shoe with the words to the song.  I've made sandals for all four verses and will attach the template for those that may want to create their own.  I also think it would be nice to share some of the Gospel Art Kit Photos while teaching the song and mention some of the miracles that took place.
