Young Women's Camp 2011 - Princess Cones (Camp Mailboxes)

These easy to make Princess Cones will serve two purposes for Young Women's Camp this summer.  Between now and camp the Young Women can use them as a decoration to have in their bedrooms to collect money in for camp.  Then, when camp arrives the girls can bring them to camp and hang them to use as a camp mailbox.  The Young Women will love making these...I promise! 

Be creative!  Use them for an additional Young Women's Activity such as a service project, fundraiser, gifts to others in the ward, etc...

You will need to have the Young Women help you decide what color scrapbook paper they would like to use.  Each girl will need a 12x12 scrapbook piece of paper.  Cut the paper to look like a cone and roll together each side to make the cone shape.  I used brads to attach the sides of my cones that you see shown above, but you could also use a hot glue gun.  Attach ribbon or string and decorate to your liking.  Then, hang in your room or on a tree branch.

Side Note...you may decide to add some plastic inside the cones to protect the paper.
