Carry-and-Fetch Relay

DESCRIPTION OF GAME:

Players line up in equal straight lines. A hoop or circle is positioned up to 30 feet in front of each team. The first runner on each team has a beanbag. On the command “GO,” this player carries the beanbag forward and puts it inside the hoop, then returns and tags off the next runner. The second runner goes forward, picks up the beanbag, and hands it off to the third runner. One runner carries the beanbag forward and the next runner fetches it back. The first team to complete the relay wins.

SUPPLIES:

1. Music
2. Bean Bags
3. Hula Hoops

VARIATIONS:

Instead of running, have the players jump, skip, gallop, walk, etc…
